“We had a family get together for Thanksgiving and we had a wonderful time. We were greeted with lovely views every time we turned around. The home was very clean and comfy, and it had the best stocked kitchen we had ever seen. The theater room was amazing and the Irish pub room was a blast. But what we enjoyed most was the time we spent kayaking on the lake. The owners were so nice and very informative. We would definitely recommend this place to all. ”

“The cabin was well stocked, clean, and decorated with whimsical woodsy items. The view was unbelievable. We watched several fisherman pull in their catch right at the bend of the river. “We rented this house for my daughters wedding at Machias Meadows. My wife and I as well as the bridal party stayed here. There was lots of room for everyone. We did use an air mattress or 2 but nothing was cramped. The first night we lost power for about 5 hours because of a fallen tree and after I sent Joe a message he was able to give us updates on timeframe to get it back on. We also lost air conditioning but I gave Joe a quick call and with in 2 hours it was back on. Overall we had a great……

“Great place! Lovely view! But at times it seemed like it was remodled by an alien. The island in the kitchen is so big it's hard to open the door on the fridge, and the toilet paper holders are barely in arm's reach. Loved the downstairs office though”

“I stayed here to go on a number of nearby hikes with friends, and this house was an absolute blessing to be able to come back to after a long day of hiking in the snow! The hot tub and riverfront view were some of our favorite parts, and the house was wonderfully clean as well. ”
