“not a very friendly place to stay, our reservation got 'lost' and we weren't sure if there is space for us... we booked and paid two double rooms and were given a double and a bad smelling single with a bath without toilet seat in the end (had to complain and finally got the two doubles we paid for). we did not feel we were welcome in the rifugio. no information on the surroundings were given at all and the food wasn't as good as expected. the rooms were okay in the end but the bath really……

“This is a beautiful property where we, unfortunately, stayed on Easter Sunday. We will planning a trip to Mt. Etna on 4/21, so it seemed like a good choice for the day before. We had hoped we could be accommodated at their restaurant since we were staying at the hotel, but we were told it was full. Had we known the time we would arrive, we could have made a reservation but we were traveling from Cefalu through mountains and had no idea when we would arrive. We think they could have had one……

“Abbiamo prenotato alle 4 del pomeriggio in giorno infrasettimanale del mese di ottobre, ormai fuori stagione, e dopo mezz'ora eravamo lì. Struttura deserta, nessuno in vista. Chiamiamo il proprietario e in pochi minuti ( intanto noi ci eravamo accomodati in piscina..) arriva una gentile ragazza che ci consegna le chiavi , poi un'altro ragazzo che ci tira fuori le sdraio (oramai riposte visto la data). “This place was lovely, right on the slopes of mount Etna. Guiseppe and Louisa were fantastic hosts and were very friendly and helpful. Good set up of our apartment with separate living space to bedroom with lots of room. Only downside was small shower and no AC. On the day we were leaving they were quite happy for us to take our time as room was free for that day so woke up late and after sorting ourselves out we took a tour of the winery. “It’s a beautiful small property with a very cool design. Fairly rustic though and with a bit of a farmhouse feel and therefore maybe not for everyone. Managers and owners Giacomo and Paola are both fantastic. Giacomo in particular was a superstar, passionately speaking about the wines of the winery and the region, giving us great restaurant recommendations and really going above and beyond with a smile. ”

“Vakkert sted med god personlig service. De ordnet så vi ble hentet med bil i Randazzo (mot et tillegg, men likevel behagelig). De ordnet også så vi fikk room service med pinsa og et glass vin. Nydelig rom med utsikt over vinmarkene. De tilbyr aperitivo på kvelden i glassboksen. Anbefaler å bestille det, da det ikke er noen restauranter i nærheten. Veldig god mat, service og utsikt! “A wonderful property in such a beautiful setting. Quiet and peaceful, surrounded by vineyards with views of Mount Etna and the village of Castiglione perched on a hillside. We loved having access to the swimming pool, the rooms are a good size and the food and wine was excellent. Massimo is a superb host and is exceptionally welcoming and very friendly, providing good local information.
