“Amazing location, free parking (in a town where parking is VERY hard to come by), beautiful property with excellent restaurant. The biggest knocks were on the room itself. We were in a room on the historic side, so I think it may be different on the new one. Note to reader, this place is more a 4.5 star than a 4 star, but of course that's not an option. “We were greeted by a man in a tattered sweatshirt in the main house. Then We were taken to the room in a carriage house across a dark parking lot. There were no lights in the entry and there was an sunken entry to the room we nearly fell into the room. There were remains from the previous logger including dirty glasses and trash. It was dark and dingy. We had stayed in the main house 3-4 years earlier and went to look at an available room there. The hall carpets were stained and in bad shape,……
