It is the perfect place to stay, and Smith Island is a great way to get away from work and school and the buzz of life on the mainland, which was our whole point of the trip. “Location is magical. Water views and nature views abound. Porches, open areas, views galore. On a quiet point, with a creek meets river, almost ocean like feel. It is a very special place. All you need-beds are super comfy and attention to details with seating and kitchen are greatly appreciated. Besides older adults, we had age-early 20s cousins that discovered the fun of croquet. We did puzzles, played games and kayaked a lot; explored the creek and braved the ever changing currents and tides……
