“No welcome ' pack ' not even a bottle of milk. Light fittings missing. Main bed the worst ever experienced. The central heating did not work, we sat in overcoats and blankets. Heating set at 16deg. in the middle of winter !Hostess indifferent , realised her responsibility, refused to speak to us and told the agency to ask us to leave due to heating problems and her concern with her insurance Gave full refund but our stay to be near our family was ruined due to lack of maintenance. A disgrace to……

“The actual property was clean an a good size the hot tub was marvellous an the views were good with nobody looking over you and away from the main road Everything was there for cooking an cleaning an good information about the history of the local village just down the road”

“Front door is 5 yards from busy A43. Contacted owner for key code Friday am for Friday stay did not reply till 14.21 Sunday. Builders next door Hammering just after 7 Saturday and Monday. Cover on front bed filthy. Toilet seat not attached correctly. No logs provided for log burner or tools. Welcome pack not as advertised no wine no milk no eggs no crisps small loaf. Outside area no parasols cushions left outside dirty and cigarette burn, and a broken chair. Broken glass in cupboard. Very noisy……

“The Stables is a charming and spacious property. We were thrilled to find it beautifully decorated for Christmas and an amazing basket of goodies/treats that we enjoyed throughout our stay. We were disappointed to find many of the light bulbs burned out or nonfunctional, leaving no lighting in the main hallway. Heating such an old home is always challenging, so not surprising to find the first floor very cold and the upstairs quite warm. The pillows and mattresses throughout the house left much……

Host was very welcoming and flexible about check in.Great kitchen space with a good range of cooking pots and pans.Ely is within walking distance with a lovely market a couple of days per week: some great local produce.The cathedral was lovely and with a short walk to the riverside. Great fish and chips and some lovely pubs.”
