“We loved staying in the lodge, but the unpaved access road and the huge gravel pit next door with dump trucks ripping up the road made the road impassable except for large cars with 4-wheel drive. One set of our guests who tried to arrive by Uber had to walk a quarter mile through the mud because the vehicle couldn't make it up the road.The lodge itself is amazing - great beds, movie theater, kitchens, and so many bathrooms. “Awesome location and nice set up for a couple looking for a long ski weekend. While the double bunk bed setup is a little strange, the murphy bed in the living room was super comfortable. We slept in the murphy bed and used the bedroom to store all our gear & clothes. Host was very responsive and helpful.We were pleasantly surprised to find the living room bigger in size than expected. “Brand New buildings in the soon to be heart of the new Deer Valley. It was eerily empty when we stayed, but that's just because the new terrain is under construction. Close to the Gondola, you could walk, they have a shuttle but didn't use it. Not near any restaurants or bars. It was a bit disappointing that they built all of this new, but cheaped out on the fixtures and furniture. If the gondola is closed, you have to drive to the base area near the Hyatt. ”
