“This was the second time I stayed at this property and really do love it. It is close enough to my family in Ridgefield for me to fee like I am just around the corner, while being in a quiet, peaceful private property. The setup was perfect for myself and my mom, but could also accommodate a larger group. It isn’t a big space, but had everything that we needed. I would highly recommend this property and will definitely be looking to stay here again on another visit. Thank you!”

“Lovely two weeks in the carriage house on the Croton River. Hosts Patrick and Kathryn were attentive and helpful, the area was full of fun adventures for my husband, a cyclist, and me (jogger and kayaker). Swimming in the Croton from the dock was so great, especially on warm days. Kayaking in the Croton was peaceful and full of fun water birds.”

“Perfect location for families with young children and pets to play in the water with limited boat traffic. Great yard with patios and fire pit for relaxing. Property manager was very responsive and great to work with. Would definitely stay again. Thank you for the great vacation memories!”

“We had a wonderful Christmas getaway with family at the “Ice Cream Cottage”. It is much more spacious than it looks on the outside.It was clean and had everything we needed. Host was attentive to any questions we had.The fenced in yard was great for our “fur baby” to run around.”

“This house was so incredible. Not only was it in a quiet nice neighborhood the inside was incredible too. Pool table as well as a pool it was perfect for my stay to have fun and enjoy our time. They were very communicative and welcoming to their house. Everything was comfortable and clean. Can’t say any bad things about this place. Definitely going to book again. I already miss it. ”

“We had a relaxing weekend stay at this beautiful historic cottage in Corwell on Hudson, very convenient for access to Storm King and other museums as well as Cold Spring and Bear Mountain.The Host was super helpful and responded to our questions immediately. The house was super well stocked and beautifully decorated, including with fresh flowers!Looking forward to staying here again in the Fall and Winter!”

Coming from the flat lands of the midwest, the hills and curves to get to the home (especially in the dark) are something to be aware of. I was glad my husband was driving. "As an experienced traveler, I have to rate this La Quinta a ONE out of Five. The facility is too old to use. To open the door, you need to insert the card key dozens of times. The hall way is not flat, slightly uphill or downhill. The drain of the tub is only half-working. When you take shower your feet are in the water. Basin is cracked and glued. AC sound wakes you up every time when it starts. Breakfast is ok, but lack of food after 8:50, it says that the time of breakfast is 6:30 to 9:30. Parking is free and safe, which is only thing make my thumb up. Overall, with $140 per night price, I must say, I was very disappointed by this hotel!!! By the way, the other La Quinta hotels I have lived in are very good."
