“Nice place, good staffs and have parking facilities. However, too much doors in between the corridors (maybe for fire safety reason), have to pass through more than 10 doors from check-in to my room. ”
“Very comfortable little apartment--only two small issues. One, my apartment overlooked the Abington Road, which was a bit noisy. Two, the step up into the shower and toilet made me a bit nervous about slipping/tripping, or twisting my body. Not recommended for persons with limited agility. ”
“This is a little gem to find - excellent accomadation and staff along with Quiet surroundings Food id second to none with a wide range for starters and main meal.Rooms are tastefully done with all the usual requirements and fresh milk is from a vacuum flask so its all fresh.
Toilets are spotlessly clean and well laid out along with general condition is very good.Thank you and well done to all.”
“Had a great stay at The Bear Hotel. Love its charm and the feel of a true English hotel. It’s been here 500+ years. We stayed in a front room that looked over the Wantage Market Square. The room was fine, very clean, and the bed was comfy. However if you are tall, like over 5’ 9” you must watch your head and you probably won’t fit in the shower. Staff were all excellent! Love the breakfast that came with the room, delicious!”
“This was a one night stop over only so hard to make fair judgements.
But after an exhausting day the large comfortable bed and bedding were very welcome. Our room was noisy though from the adjoining room with the sound from the TV on from 7am when we were desperate for a lie in.
We had no shower products in the bathroom and the flush on the toilet was dodgy.
Breakfast was freshly cooked and adequate - just need to keep supplies topped up. There was no bread to toast at the buffet and we had……
“Friendly staff but room a little cramped and did not expect wash basin in bedroom with toilet behind a rickety sliding door.
Breakfast was very poor with little choice, not restocked, teas and coffees in a flask that was cold, also run out of fruit juice. ”
