“We only stayed one night here, but it is handy to some of the best places to see in West Cornwall and also is a two-minute drive from a beautiful beach. Our apartment was basic, no-frills but clean and perfectly adequate for a family spending most of its time outside. Actually, even if we'd stayed in, the place would have been fine for hanging out. It also has laundry facilities downstairs.”

Nancy & Paddy are very welcoming hosts on hand to offer local knowledge on the best pubs to visit, walks to take or supply any small thing you may have forgotten. The cottage is beautifully presented , warm and clean with a very comfortable sofa and bed. “Grandby Cottage was charming, the main house magnificant and the grounds were beautiful. The wisteria was in full bloom. I felt like I was taken back in time, expecting a carriage to pull up at any moment.Amanda is a great host and answered all our questions. Our itinerary the day after we arrived was:Day 1 -- Bath. We did the free walking tour (fantastic) and toured the Roman baths.Day 2 -- Stonehenge (We walked instead of taking the bus, which was so much better.) Avebury (one pub in town)……

“We enjoyed the house and community neighborhood. Perfect set up for a family of 4 with most everything we needed. It wasn’t quite set up in the kitchen as there weren’t enough place settings and we couldn’t get all the burners on the stove to light. We liked the backyard and it was a quick walk to the neighborhood Tesco Express. It was probably our inexperience with UK showers but we could get the water temperature not to be scalding. Overall we enjoyed our stay.”
