“Staff were very helpful and room was properly cleaned each day. Slight downside is being next to a very busy road but on the upside the transport system was very easy. Restaurant food and service were excellent and access to outdoor space a bonus. Overall good value.”

“Very good facilities in a small room dbl bed. Hostess waited my arrival at 22.45. Any bottle / jar needs properly unpacking to ensure correct usage. Soap very difficult .”

“We had a couples weekend away. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The room was amazing and comfortable. Food took a little time to come out, however was well worth the wait! Giant pizzas (enough for 2 of us to share) and highly recommend the ham croquettes!! Buses to the city centre are just outside and frequent. Thank you so much, we will definitely come back again.”

“Free parking, so big that local vintage car club used it as meeting point. Enjoyed the duck for dinner and cooked breakfast in the morning. Room was bigger than expected, clean and quiet. Some parts looked like they needed redecorating but it is an old coaching inn. Only ten minutes from Dyrham Park.”

“The 5-night stay was overall comfortable, although there was an issue with controlling the temperature of the hot water shower. It would occasionally become scalding during showers. It would also be wonderful if breakfast could include some fruit. Other than these minor points, it was a delightful stay. When we arrived in the late afternoon, the reception gentleman kindly helped my daughter and me carry our luggage to the room on the 2nd floor.”
