“Host was accessible before and during our stay. Home was easy to find, close to walk downtown, fish nearby streams, and condiments already in the home made cooking for the three of us a breeze. Appreciated the laundry facilities and entry area where we could suit up and get out of wet gear. Highly recommend this VRBO.”

“We stayed at the Chalet by the Sea with my family. This is a large house over looking a beautiful protected lagoon. We were unable to enjoy the outside features because of rain, but could see wildlife in the lagoon from inside the house. I wish we could have stayed longer. It is a beautiful place to stay.”

“The house was very nicely finished and the location was amazing! Our host was very accommodating when we got in a bind with a cancelled flight. We were in Kodiak on business so we didn't have much time to explore but would love to come back and stay here again and take a fishing trip and sightseeing tour with Rick and Hope!”

“Amazing waterfront location! Very clean space with all needed amenities. We loved going down to the beach every morning to search for sea glass. The trampoline was a fun way to get some extra energy out. The porch is covered, which allowed us to dine al fresco even in the rain. We would definitely recommend this place to friends, and would stay again if we went back to Kodiak.”

“Well, I almost dont want to do a great review to keep the GEM of a house off the radar. The only thing this house lack is Reviews! Best stocked kitchen ever, every spice, cooking and baking gadget you can image...mixers, blenders etc. I used to run 5 of these and this place rivalled my best home for kitchen items. “We had a wonderful time at Captain’s View—we were in Kodiak for our daughter’s wedding and the house was perfect for family dinners and entertaining. It is in walking distance of downtown Kodiak and one of our favorite coffee places. The hosts were responsive and easily contacted. We highly recommend this house!”
