“The Commodore Bed and Breakfast is a quaint historical home with unique decor, comfy seating, antique fixtures and a friendly host. The home seems to be under restoration efforts but did not impact our visit in anyway. The grounds are well kept and offer sweet photo moments. There was a well maintained pool, but we did not use due to time. With a short 10 minute walk is the attractive town square with a few eating options. Bars and boutique and antique shopping. “This is a true southern Gem! A lovely family owned home that has been converted into a 3 bedroom stay. Has a wonderful common room and dining room for breakfasts. My hostess, Naomi, was great. Her roots are in the area, so she knows the history! It is close to Plains, America’s, and Providence Canyon. Lots to to do. And bonus, Richland rum factory just around the corner. If you want a lovely southern experience, this is a must stay!”

“Really liked this distinguished older home with a fenced backyard. Very clean, nice bed linens etc. and nice kitchen. The large original doors in the hallway had been reset as sliding barn doors and they don’t latch or stay fully shut (my dog kept nudging my cousin’s door open and the bathroom door to visit us (yes he’s a Velcro dog). We didnt need to open windows, but if we’d wanted to, or worse, needed to in emergency, we couldn’t have because they’re caulked shut. That should be corrected.……

“We celebrated my dad’s birthday on the lake. The house was a great size. The dock and back yard were ideal for entertaining. Plenty of parking. We really enjoyed our stay. Marty was a great host.”
