“Come out with the family on Thanksgiving day. Easy check in, very clean place. All the sheets and pillow cases were freshly washed. Beds were also firm and comfortable. Area is quiet. It’s close to the train tracks but never bothered us. Area is close to downtown Ottawa, lots of groceries. There’s also a Walmart or Farm and Fleet close by. A short 10 minute drive. We planned to hike and drive around but ended up staying in. It got too cold. It was a restful staycation. ”

“I should have read the reviews, the property is absolutely awful. There's standing water under the floorboards downstairs, the jacuzzi tubs haven't been maintained, the carpet is shabby, the fireplaces don't work, there's water damage that looks like mold on the ceiling above the stove. But all that is secondary to the bugs (live and dead) all over the place, and the mouse droppings found in the kitchen cabinets/drawers. “We wanted to get away for a couple days to see fall colors and hike near Starved Rock. This little house in the small town of DePue IL perfectly met our expectations. We had a great time looking at all the interesting decorations. While in DePue be sure to get a pork tenderloin at Casford’s Crossing!”

“The house was the perfect size for my two kids and I. Everything was clean and exactly as described in the listing. The house felt very home-y and the kids loved all the books, toys, and the rock painting. The neighborhood was quiet, and everything was just a short drive away. Would definitely stay here again.”

“This was a good place to stay. Beds were comfortable, kitchen and bathrooms stocked with supplies. The steps to the unit needed to be cleaned better. A couple of convenient outlets need to be fixed to work.”

“My wife and I wanted a nice place to stay with a full kitchen and a "non-public" hottub. This townhome exceeded our expectations. The two-person jetted tub in the Master bedroom with a fireplace (there's a bonus fireplace on the lower level in the family room as well) was so welcome during one of the coldest weekends of the year. The below-zero wind chills kept us from hiking the lovely parks near here, but our hostess provided us with fun games to play, books to read, a comfortable bed, and……
