“This vintage home has an interesting history and is kept up so nicely with period furnishings. Modern conveniences though-good water pressure, fully functioning kitchen, good temperature control. I like stays with history behind them and this house has that It is a very small town so you will drive 15 minutes to find a grocery. Close to Matthesson and starved rock state parks which are both beautiful Karen responds quickly when messaged I enjoyed every minute ”

“The house was perfect, beautiful, hardwood floors, completely redone bathrooms with all of an older homes charm restored. There are all kinds of unique, thoughtful touches, including a working record player with plenty of albums to choose from. Just two blocks from the park, it is perfectly located. I would definitely recommend!”

First, the positives: The house is in a nice quiet neighborhood, a short drive to town and not far from Starved Rock and other parks. Check-in was smooth and the house is nicely decorated and seemed clean. Unfortunately, there were a lot of issues that should have been addressed before renting it out: There were a lot of ants in the kitchen.
