“This is a nice little cottage, tucked away from everything right on the river. I was looking for some peace and quiet, and that’s exactly what I got. Even though the weather wasn’t great, the sunroom still let me enjoy the views. ”

“We had a wonderful stay. It was just a short walk to the beach. Found lots of sea glass. The neighborhood was quiet, the house had everything you could need and most importantly, it just felt cozy. The hosts were very sweet as well. Would definitely stay here again. ”

“Nice little house if you are looking for an escape from the day-to-day bustle. Ideal if you want to hang out and read. Basic accommodations in a rural neighborhood. Not much to do in town, accept visit the lighthouse. Bay access is not far on foot if you want to launch a canoe or kayak. Our only gripe was that AC is listed as an amenity but there were no AC units. Maybe they are available in the summer, but it was hot for half of our trip (mid April) and we could have used AC. A grill is also……

“I only had a slightly wider view of the water from a kayak- the panoramic view from the deck was peaceful and beautiful from first light to sunset (though the night coasts were relaxing as well). Inside was clean and had nice decorative touches. We had all we needed to cook in when we did. Easy to walk or ride around and an easy drive to surrounding attractions.We'll be back!”

“This was one of the most beautiful spots I've seen. Kayaking was wonderful! Couch was very uncomfortable. And many maybe put off to find they must put everything in a box to keep away from rodents. And I just took my garbage home as we didn't have time to dump at an off site location on vacation. I would still book again as it was the most peaceful, charming and secluded place to truly relax!”

“We spent a long weekend at this house to escape the hustle and bustle of our busy lives for our wedding anniversary. My favorite parts were watching the sunrise against the Potomac River and relaxing in the hammock. It was so quiet, save for the occasional motor boat cruising by on the far side of the river. The house had all the basic necessities, and met all of our expectations. If you’re looking for a peaceful waterfront getaway, give this house a try. ”

“The house was very clean and located in a pretty amazing area, with easy access in and out. All of the standard amenities were available in the house, as well as extras like board games, good coffee (k cups grounds!) and a small stool in the bathroom for the kids. It was a really great stay, highly recommended. ”

“Fabulous doesn't even begin to describe how wonderful our time was at Blue Crab Cottage...the cottage was absolutely perfect for our family of 5, as well as our dog Princess. The views were spectacular...the host was so friendly and helpful...the kids loved chatting with Mr Chris and meeting his dogs, who were the sweetest welcoming committee. We had a great stay, and we hope to come back for another stay during our next trip to MD. ”
