“The house is Caribbean living at its finest. No modern or updated appliances, the WiFi is good, no air conditioners just fans, simple bathroom. The house is clean just old. Quiet neighborhood, you’re spending minimum 40 USD for any taxi to travel to town. Nothing is walking distance, this is a residential neighborhood. The owner is lovely, lives on the property. If your goal is to stay somewhere quiet, simple, away from loud tourists, this place is perfect! ”

“The house is amazing, overlooked the coast, there is lots of room and the pool is just a bonus. The host is quick to respond when needed. A car is a must but to see the island it’s a given. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back next year. Would highly recommend!!”

“House is just as pictures show, located in a quiet neighborhood. Beds very comfortable and AC in bedroom was excellent. Able to open double doors to front porch for breezes without worries and minimal to no bugs. Gate at end of driveway for extra security. We have stayed at a variety of locations in Barbados prior to this home and recommended to owners that a few more amenities were needed which they provided (coffee pot-provided a small 4 cup, blender, hand and bath towels).TV in both living……

“Our family of 4 had a lovely stay here. Friends booked at other properties on this resort but we had the best one by far (in terms of apartment layout, AC in bedrooms but also in the living room, inclusion of linens and towels, etc). The apartment was stocked with everything we needed to make some of our meals (pots, oil, spices, etc.). The grocery shop is a close walk and so are the beaches and restaurants. The pool was also very convenient for days when we didn't want to walk to the beach.……

“Our family of 7 adults stayed at Gibbs Glade villa for 14 nights in June and it was wonderful. The photographs on the website do not do it justice - light and airy, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a large barbecue. Shann was lovely, she took great care of the villa without ever being intrusive and Shanee was a huge help when we managed to lock ourselves out! Relaxing by the lovely pool was heaven, as were strolls to Mullins beach and Gibbs……

“We spent 2 weeks at Ancient grove and absolutely loved it. There were 10 in our party including 3 small children and the place was just brilliant. The size of the property was great for such a large group we were able to have all our meals together looking out over one of the most stunning views. “If you are looking for luxury this is not for you. BUT if you are looking for a perfect beach with chairs/umbrellas provided and a "chill" location, this is it. We've been coming to Barbados for over 25 years and Speightstown is my favorite part. It's got the gorgeous west coast beaches without the obscene Sandy Lane prices. There are literally roosters-hens-chicks on the side of the road; a local large grocery store, multiple small restaurants/bars with live music, and my favorite local jeweler……

“We had a great stay at Sunspot Chattel good location & very reasonably priced! Communication was excellent Rawle was very helpful & nothing was to much trouble! Everything you needed for self catering. I would certainly go back & highly recommend if your not looking for any that is going to cost an arm & a leg! Everything was great.”
