“Cowdry cabin and Hut worked perfectly for two couples getting away.The cabin to water proximity is perfect and flat.Plenty of and varied outdoor chairs to choose from and the lake is the show. Morning dancing dragonflies, loons and ducks, and spectacular sunsets.Cabin is charming and comfortable, plenty of space to spread out to read and relax or get together for meals and cards.I recommend to others looking for an Alexandria lake front stay. “Great place for a relaxing family get together! Especially loved the outdoor spaces - sitting on the deck, listening to the birds, looking at the lake. Nice hiking trails close by. ”

“House was great it was clean even better than pictures. Has more than 1 fridge which having more people is a plus. Yard was flat to lake so easy access to the lake. Chuck and Debbie were great at responding to anything we had questions about, and they were very flexible on dates that had changed.Definitely stay there again and will also tell friends and family about this so they can have the same great experience we did.”

“This was a perfect getaway location. It was quiet and peaceful and allowed good bonding time with my family. The host has such a neat vibe/theme to the cabin and left a note and snacks for us to enjoy during our stay. All the main amenities/essentials were provided. We enjoyed an evening on the deck with the beautiful fall colors on the lake. Host was available by phone and let me know that by a phone call before I checked in. “The place is very clean, the manager very responsive to any questions, always available. It was a little pricey for what you get. Bathroom and shower small. Nice location, close to town. The view is beautiful and have lots of seating outside. The only bad thing is they have awful fragrance diffusers plugged in. The smell gave me a headache! Please refrain from using these, they give off toxins, full of synthetic fragrances. Maybe use something like fresh wave instead, a non toxic air……
