“We stayed with another couple, and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Price difference to local hotels (2 rooms) was negligible so this option was a definite no-brainer. Nice gated community, big clean house with lots of room, and impeccable morning sun patio with a relaxing river view, great for bird watching. “Amazing home and beautiful property right on Lake Michigan. We didn't need to bring any of the usual items such as toilet paper, paper towel and trash bags, as they were plenty of each. Kitchens were well equipped with dishes, glasses, pots and pans, silverware and utensils. Only a few minor problems. We could not get the codes to work for check-in, but was resolved with a couple of calls to Vacasa. There was a dirty towel in one of the bathrooms and a dirty pot on the stove in the kitchen.……

“This cottage was a lovely place for a weekend getaway for 3 adult siblings, spouses, and our dogs. The house was very clean and had an open floorplan that was conducive to visiting and playing board games. The kitchen was very thoroughly equipped. While the cottage is clearly geared towards summer rental, it was also lovely in the winter. It was warm and cozy and we loved the easy access to Lake Michigan, which was stunning in the ice and fresh snowfall. The only slight concern for us was that……

“This was a 4 day getaway to relax. While there is no water view from the property, a short walk and some steps led us to the perfect semiprivate beach. There were umbrellas, chairs and 2 kayaks available to use. Despite it being mid September, the water was swimmable and the temps were high 80s. We brought our dogs with us and they loved swimming in the water. I can't speak to how busy it is during the peak summertime, but we had the entire stretch to ourselves. Loved that! “We had a great time at this property in New Buffalo. The location was great - just know that in order to get to the beach and downtown, you need to walk around the marina. There is no cut through. The house was very clean and well maintained. There were plenty of starter supplies like towels, shampoo, dish soup, etc. The house didn’t include basic pantry items, but the listing was very clear on what was included and what wasn’t. The hot tub was fantastic - it was extremely clean and functional!……

“Not able to get into the house until 30 mins after check-in time due to the cleaning staff. When we did walk in, the house had a bad odor, like wet dog, or a dirty wet mop. Our children were so excited to use the swimming pool/hot tub, but when we arrived, both were unusable and the outside sitting area was a complete mess. The pool was filled with debris and a greenish color. There was mold/scum all over the steps/entrance into the pool that we had to scrub ourselves. The hot tub smelled like……
