“LOVED THE REVIVAL OF WHAT WAS ONCE CERTAINLY A 'GRANDE DAME' The fireplace that was triggered to come alive as the sun set was a special touch, the ancient bedframe , the carved designs on the chairs, the lobby came to life around the fireplace showcasing the iron cherubs, the banisters reflected a gorgeous wooden patina, the arched window frames, the circled Bay windows all added to the Victorian aspects of the mansion. “We were a group of 7 quilters from Arkansas visiting for MSQC Birthday Bash. When we were not at MSQC we had our sewing machines and sewed all day. We enjoyed the dorm like setting and everyone felt the beds were extremely comfortable. The kitchen could be a bit more user friendly with adult height counter tops, or by putting risers under the work table. The cafeteria tables were interesting but a couple of mixed matched tables and chairs wiuld of been more comfortable and easier to access. ……
