“We loved this cabin so much, we’re thinking about booking now for next year! Early May was the perfect time to walk, shop, eat & listen to live music in downtown Fredericksburg. While this place is not within walking distance, driving to Main Street took mere minutes & was just secluded enough to make you feel super cozy & comfortable. “The location was so great. Right off the heart of Main Street, but with the creek and lots of trees, you felt secluded. The hot tub was a great addition. They also have a deer feeder that brought deer close to the house in the evening. It was a great surprise and a nice touch to our evening. ”

“The Samples are amazing host! They thought of everything you would need. The Samples are very detail people and their hospitality is superb. We enjoyed the quietness of the property, feeding the deer and the comforts of home, and so close to Main Street! My husband and I will be visiting the Samples again.”

“The property is well laid out. The high ceiling makes it feel bigger. Nice little patio for relaxing , it would be better with comfortable seating.The hot tub wasn't very clean. “House was super clean and looked just like the photos. It is a block off Main, but not within walking distance to shops & restaurants. You still have to drive to get where the action is. “The grounds are really great, with plenty of firepit areas, a creek, and a manicured lawn. And the location to downtown (2 blocks) is very convenient. The rooms need some work. Squeaky, sticky doors, shower control valve not secured properly. Be careful pulling into the large parking area. Very steep incline. Breakfast was more than adequate; eggs, sausage or bacon, potatoes, biscuit, pastries, yogurt, fruit. At night you might catch a glimpse of hundreds of fireflies or lightning bugs. ”
