“Well restored and maintained. The original wood was outstanding. Cookies were a nice touch. It was an idyllic spot within easy drive of every place we wanted to go. Ran into a few cobwebs in the bathroom and had an issue with yellow jackets, but that is just nature! Everything we needed was there. Too much light in the middle bedroom, especiallt the light under the top step.”

“The property is AMAZING. The cottage is small but has everything you could need. It is quaint and charming and the wall AC units are remarkably strong. The bed was very comfortable and the WiFi was good for remote work. If you are looking for peace, quiet and beauty in nature while still being able to access the hustle and bustle, this slice of heaven is perfect. ”

“The space was exactly what was described and the kitchen had everything we needed. The common spaces - upstairs, downstairs and deck - were delightful. Our only issue was that the A/C doesn't reach the downstairs bedroom, so that one bedroom is hard to cool when the weather is hot. ”

“This adorable cottage provided the perfect atmosphere for a week long getaway. The kitchen was immaculate and the center island quickly became our favorite place to sip our morning coffee. The bathroom was roomy with a beautiful shower and a large washer and dryer.The host was gracious and left cookies and candy as well as beautiful flowers upon our arrival. If our family is ever visiting the area again, we will definitely stay here!”

“The home was beautiful and well kept. Essential kitchen items are included along with sheets and towels. The host was a super reliable. Communication was wonderful. The host had toiletries and some stocked snacks for the guests. There were corn hole boards and ladder ball for guests to use. The home is about a block to the river where fishing is a must. There is also a public beach within walking distance. ”

“This is such a comfortable, peaceful setting! Our family gathered on the large, screened in back porch. Enjoyed the corn fields, watching the cows, geese landing in the pond and the sky from sun rise to sun set.”

We didn’t get to use the hot tub, kayaks and paddle boats but it’s wonderful to have for those who would like them, or if we had more time. We love the Wellwood and Backfin Blues for dining. Dave and Barb are wonderful hosts that reached out during stay. I would highly recommend this lovely cottage. Thank you for hosting us! ”
