“This was our 3rd stay in this lovely home. The location could not be nicer. It is so quiet & peaceful. We enjoyed watching the Amish farmer next door plant tobacco and the ongoing horse & buggy traffic. The house is one of the best stocked houses we have ever stayed in. John & Deb have thought of everything to make it feel just like home, right down to the fresh baked cookies waiting on the kitchen table. There is not a thing I would change about this house. “I had a wonderful long weekend. The house was clean and had everything I needed. I loved being able to enjoy the outdoor space and it was made all the more enjoyable with the chickens. “Both the property and the hosts were delightful. Our family (husband, wife, and toddler) absolutely loved the house. The distance from many touristy things (about 30 minutes in our case) was nice because it helped the house feel like more of a retreat. We would definitely stay here again!Parents, note that the house comes well equipped with some baby/toddler gear which is not mentioned in the listing. Reach out to the very helpful host and you might save yourself some packing!”

“The host was amazing; very attentive even willing to provide tour. We lived close by for years and were back to visit family so great location as we already knew the area well. House is small as name suggests 'Cottage' wouldn't suggest more than 2 - 3 at the most. Cottage was quaint and well equipped with everything. Very quiet and safe and scenic. We would stay again if back in area ”

“It was as advertised. It was clean and we had everything we needed. It was a very pleasant visit.”

“Had a wonderful stay at this cottage for a girls’ weekend! The cottage is cozy and very well appointed. The decor was lovely, and the place had everything we needed. It sits in a creek that attracted ducks and a blue heron. We hung out, and explored the towns if Havre de Grace and North East. Rain ruined our plan to kayak. We had a great time, and would stay again in the future!”

“The home was beautiful and well kept. Essential kitchen items are included along with sheets and towels. Dawn was a super reliable host. Communication was wonderful. She had toiletries and some stocked snacks for the guests. Although we did not have time to use them, there were cornhole boards and ladder ball for guests to use. The home is about a block to the river where fishing is a must. There is also a public beach within walking distance. I would recommend this house to anyone looking for……

“This adorable cottage provided the perfect atmosphere for a week long getaway. The kitchen was immaculate and the center island quickly became our favorite place to sip our morning coffee. The bathroom was roomy with a beautiful shower and a large washer and dryer.The host was gracious and left cookies and candy as well as beautiful flowers upon our arrival. If our family is ever visiting the area again, we will definitely stay here!”
