“Wir waren super positiv überrascht, als wir die Haustüre aufgeschlossen hatten. Der Innenbereich ist liebevoll renoviert, Joanna gibt viele persönliche Einblicke in ihre Beziehung zum Haus, so dass man sich gleich willkommen fühlt. Die Fotos werden der Realität nicht gerecht. Das Haus ist wirklich etwas besonderes. Man muss sich allerdings darauf einstellen, dass es trotz aller Renovierungsmaßnahmen ein sehr altes Haus ist, aber mit Charme und einer interessanten Mischung aus italienischem Flair……

“Die Wohnung liegt oberhalb des Sees und bietet neben gemütlicher Ausstattung einen schönen Blick auf dem See vom Balkon. Wir kamen mit dem Zug (3 Erwachsene und 3 Kinder) und haben uns ein Taxi zur Unterkunft genommen. Ins Zentrum von Stresa läuft man etwa 15 min bergab ( teilweise etwas an der befahrenen Straße, dann aber wieder durch malerische Gassen. Bergan ist eine kleine Herausforderung, da es steil an geht, aber auch machbar. Wir sind jeden Tag gelaufen. In Stresa gibt es viele……

“Basic, ouderwets hotel maar zeer goed onderhouden appartement. Ruim, met groot balkon, maar geen uitzicht. Omdat het in een woonwijk ligt ontbreekt het vakantiegevoel. Parkeren was lastig in de buurt. Loopafstand naar het centrum. Minpunt: Er mogen ook huisdieren in het appartement. Naast hondenharen zat er ook een (vies) hondenspeeltje tussen de bank. ”

“Flat clean and well located with a sunny terrace. But many drawbacks: a serious renovation needed (shutters broken, windows not closing in the living room, furniture dating back from the 70s, painting falling from the wall, ants in the living room), a very small garage not appropriate for big cars and you discover it at arrival in spite of your questions before booking, no basic products to use in the flat, a lot of keys in the key box and no indication of what it is for so that you spend 5……

“Arrival was a bit confusing: getting a taxi was a small challenge (number posted by phone didn't work). Only one other challenge - finding the Cell number for the host buried in fine print/not obvious in the VRBO! The location of the Flat is in the center of the village where there is so many ristoranti, bars, pubs, tratorias and gelati olaces stand in the village you could spend a very long vacation in Stress and still miss some eating places!. Lago d' Maggot is magnificent nestled in the……
