“The only reason I did not give a 5 star review was a few things that prevented me from having a great stay. 1: The bar remains open till 10 pm and I was in a room (#2) right above it. The music and patrons was noisy enough that I could not sleep. 2: The outdoor floodlights stay in till 10:30 pm causing the room to light up brightly even with curtains closed. 3: The mattress needs to be changed as it was lumpy and felt very worn. The staff did their best to do what they could but were……

“Clean, quiet, well appointed room. Great service and an excellent breakfast. Very happy with my stay at the Buchan. ”

“ Very comfortable rooms for the four of us. We definitely enjoyed the area with restaurants nearby. The cafe downstairs has a super breakfast. Parking was nearby at the park so an easy stroll away.”

“Great room at the top of the building, the shower was really good. Breakfast was continental and a brilliant start to the day. Room was cleaned every day and wifi was great. If you have trouble with stairs ask for room 7 on the ground floor.”

“I had a quick overnighter at the Great Western. Seems to be a good and conveniently located hotel. I was able to park (fee free!). Just a 10 minute walk to Aberdeen High Street. The room was clean, had a comfortable bed and good heating. I was in and out with no issues.”

“only for when you get out the car 😀 The hotel was all we expected frm previous reviews. One night stopover for football at Cove Rangers, but would certainly go back for a longer visit. Everything was exceptionally good, except the articesque blast of wind that greeeted us in the carpark. The quality shown through from the staff to the food and the accommodation. Highly recommended. ”

“Mycket trevligt boende, trevlig ägare som gärna beskrev saker att se, restaurang i närheten. Nyckelskåp på utsidan, lätt att få brev från boendet i skräpmeilen. Glad överraskning att det ingick Continental frukost, vilket inte hade beskrivits i bokningen. Trevligt att kunna utnyttja fasciliteterna på kvällen för att umgås med vänner eller dylikt. Nära till fin strandpromenad. ”

“Very good ensuite room with fridge and microwave. Very clean and with a very comfortable bed. The hotel is located in the city centre and is very convenient for amenities and attractions.”

“A very enjoyable 2 night stay in very comfortable twin- bedded room. Food and standard of presentation first class. Fish pie - to die for! Staff very helpful. Only downside was our mobility problem in ascending stairs to our 2nd floor room.”
