“Very clean and modern hotel with spacious rooms. Convenient location, albeit close to the motorway. Difficult to fault and great value.”

“Stay in a working monastery! The buildings and extensive grounds are superb. The grounds and gardens are well tended, and make for an extremely pleasant stroll. The place oozes character and makes a memorable visit. All this on the outskirts of Huddersfield. The rooms are basic but clean. Breakfast is only "continental", offering cereals, muesli, yoghurt, plenty of fresh bread for toast and lots of strong filter coffee. The staff are friendly and welcoming.”

“Perfect for an overnight stay, had everything I needed. Comfy bed, shower, kettle, tea, coffee, fantastic WiFi l. It's quiet location meant I had a great night's sleep.”

The shower was good and toiletries were provided but there wasn’t a mirror in the bathroom which made shaving a bit difficult but this may be due to the hotel undergoing a refurbishment. The breakfast was reasonably priced and there was plenty of it. We were on the third floor and there wasn’t a lift which wasn’t an issue but it could be……

“Just a couple of minor niggles, which did not really detract from the overall impression of a great place to stay in Hebden Bridge. Our room was spacious and comfortable but had a broken lamp shade and a loose leg on the dressing table stool both of which should be easy fixes. The bathroom was lovely and the free standing bath a bonus but the addition of a shelf near the sink or hook on the back of the door would be useful, as there was nowhere to put toiletry bags other than the top of the……
