“Sandra was in touch to remind and provide helpful information days in advance of our trip. The old mansion is gorgeous, with stately old, tall and gnarly silver maples flanking the beautiful entrance. Lots of rocking chairs our front. We lucked out, too, as weather was beautiful. It was a great pleasure to meet Sandra. She took such good care of us. Her breakfasts were first rate, and she had suggestions for about any kind of entertainment in the area. “The pictures do not do this room justice! absolutely beautiful and so very comfortable. our 12 year old used the pull out and said it was the most comfortable one ever! Linda is a fantastic host and so very friendly and welcoming. I wish we could have stayed multiple nights. Of all the places we stayed during our vacation this was, by far, our favorite!! “Wonderful home on beautiful grounds. Wonderful cazebo overlooking a creek boardering the rear of the property. Sandra met us shortly after we arrived inviting us in like family with a tour of the house and our room. Breakfast was marvelous with all you could want. ”

“We really enjoyed our stay at this quaint and luxurious bed-and-breakfast. There were comfortable common areas to enjoy along with the complete privacy of your own room complete with coffee, tea, and a personal sized refrigerator. The hostess had the option to take breakfast to go with many drink and food items to choose from. She even accommodated our dietary and allergy restrictions. “This is easily the nicest rental we have ever stayed in!! The house is decorated very appropriately for the represented timeframe with modern consciences. It was a step back to my childhood! My daughters had a blast exploring all the antique items, toys,cash register, etc. The home is situated in a small town that is very safe and walkable. The outdoor space is just as nice as the inside! The owner was so helpful and responsive. He gave many helpful recommendations! The jail cell/wine……

“Booked this property for 3 nights as we were attending a VMI graduation and a wedding. This was perfect. Linda made our stay awesome. We did a red-eye in and were able to check in early for a quick nap. The breakfast every morning was sooooo good. She even arranged a tea tasting, which unfortunately we were not able to attend because of our conflicting schedule. The room was large and comfortable. “We pulled in at 5pm and were promptly greeted by Bill (Judie's husband). He checked us in and gave us a brief tour of the building and the farm. Our room was spacious and well appointed, and the bathroom with the slipper claw foot tub was very nice. It was modern but maintained much of the character we appreciate. Breakfast was excellent, and included an impromptu lesson from Bill on (re)construction of the premises. Unfortunately Judie was under the weather, so we didn't get a chance to meet……

“I stayed at this place because it was one of the few places still available in the area. I completely lucked out and had the most amazing experience. Not only was everything cozy and clean but we had almost hte entire upstairs to ourself. We had a spacious bathroom with a tub to definitely write home about, a kitchenette area, a common room, and the bedroom. I definitely got my money's worth and more!”
