“The hotel has undergone a total renovation since my last visit some years ago. The suites are spacious, very comfortable and well equipped to a high standard. The grounds are well tended. “This was our first time using this website. The hotel was basic, We were not asked about what we required for breakfast. My wife does not eat a cooked breakfast normally. The breakfast was good, nice bacon, eggs but the sausages were not the best. There was no soap either in the shower or. toilet. The toilet had a leak on the outflow which l repoorted.”

“Our stay at this hotel was amazing and we could not rate everything highly enough. The check-in process was smooth and we were shown our room by a member of staff. The room was a very good size and had everything we needed. The bed was extremely comfy, but the room did get a bit stuffy. The hotel provided a fan and the window opened for fresh air. The selection of tea, coffee, biscuits and milk was replenished daily. The breakfast was excellent and the staff are a credit to the hotel.……

“Comfortable room, though not large, with en-suite and a really comfortable bed. We were welcomed on arrival and helped upstairs with our luggage. We had key to come and go as we pleased and visited different places each day. Only one wet day, otherwise warm and sunny - good for October. Mostly came back to eat dinner at the Inn - food was delicious. Excellent breakfasts too. Staff did everything possible to make it a good holiday for us. Many thanks! ”

“I know it’s very easy to criticise a stay but we have stayed in most of the harbour hotels and this one lacks the sparkle we normally expect. Service was very slow and tables left uncleared for lengthy periods. Not blaming the good staff but they were sparse and under pressure. There were stains on the bed base and carpets and shower hard to use and this was in one the the most expensive rooms. We ordered room service one item didn’t turn up and the other was not what we ordered so again not……

“Really enjoyed staying here - I booked the cheapest room and it was still immaculate and really nice to be in. Staff really friendly, breakfast lovely and the pub by the sea is a great bonus. Good location - walked from the train station in 20 minutes.”

“Having spent years staying in National chain hotels this pub was exceptional & a breath of fresh air. Friendly helpful staff, comfortable bed & clean on suite rooms. Breakfast was probably the best freshly cooked that I've ever had. 5* for me. I would definitely recommend.”
