“Was very pleasantly surprised by the exceptional cleanliness and service in this hotel. It has all the welcoming warmth of a great British pub, but with the feel of a four star hotel. We had dinner both nights in the restaurant and breakfast both mornings, the food was very good. We were very impressed and would definitely stay again. Highly recommend !”

“Lovely stay at the Fox Hall Inn. Staff were really friendly and helpful, right from check in. The hotel grounds are lovely, with a spacious garden where you can enjoy food and drink with a stunning view of the countryside. Would highly recommend the food, we had homemade steak & Ale pie with chips - absolutely delicious. There is a continental style breakfast hamper provided the next morning based on item choices you pick. All fresh produce and the overnight oats were a delight! Would definitely……

“A one night stop over, small room which we knew we had booked. A bit of a problem with the T V which was sorted, using the i Player. Couldn't fault the staff, a very pleasant stay and we would go back there again. ”

“Very spacious well equipped cottage situated just off the main street of Barnard Castle right by the parish church. We were able to check in early, which was a big help, and when we arrived we delighted to see how spotlessly clean it was. The beds and furnishing were comfortable and would have no hesitation in reccommending the cottage to our friends and family”

“Beautiful cottage in the heart of Barnard Castle town. The rooms were big and very comfortable. The place was very clean and modern and it had plenty of spaces to relax in (lounge, games/tv room & dining room). The staff were very accommodating also! Thank you for a great stay!”

“Good location near town Centre but reasonably quiet at night . Lovely clean single room (Room 5) with plenty of electrical sockets and very comfortable duvet and bed, great breakfast in the morning and friendly staff, what more can I say? Shared clean bathroom with good shower. Would definitely return again.”

“Lovely hotel with helpful staff. Clean and convenient for what we wanted. However, we were staying on the top floor and there was no lift. My husband suffers with his knees and it was a little heavy on them having climbing 4 flights of stairs with luggage. ”
