“We had an absolutely amazing stay! The hotel itself was beautiful, but the highlight was definitely the hot tub – the perfect addition for a truly relaxing getaway. From the moment we arrived, everything felt effortless and welcoming. The staff in the restaurant were fantastic—so friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. The food was outstanding, full of flavour and beautifully presented, and the cocktails were just perfect. Every little detail made the stay feel……

“We had a fabulous stay in the Ancient Unicorn. We were a family of 4 and also had our dog with us. We stayed in the Charles Dickens Cottage and it was outstanding. When we arrived, the cottage was warm and welcoming. The kitchen was well-equipped. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were super friendly. The location is great for exploring the area. We look forward to coming back in the future.”

“the room was not warm enough and although mentioned to the staff, it was some time before the heating was sufficient. The tea maker was in a cupboard on the floor. This is the first time I have encountered this in a hotel, This was not easy to make the first cup of tea in the morning. Having mentioned these two points, the staff we met were very helpful and pleasant. The evening meal was delicious, although the breakfast on our second day was rather short on availability of fresh fruit. This is……

Had a 2 night break, first night great but the second night there was a dog in the room next door which barked a lot. weather not so good but walking in the rain is still fun.
