“Stayed at the George Hotel for 1 night. Had a twin room which was on the first floor. Room was clean and tidy with an en suite bathroom. Located in the market town of Newent within walking distance to pubs, restaurants and shops. Parking available to rear of hotel. ”

“It was just what we wanted for a one-night stay. The staff were very kind & efficient. Supper was faultless, but breakfast was slow and the "crispy" bacon too thick and tough.”

“This property is well located in the centre of town with easy walking distance to the river, cafes and town sites. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast and dinner are very good. The only downside is that rooms are accessed by very steep circular stairs and the car park is accessed by a very tight driveway and limited parking spaces. There is a public car park behind that is easier to access, but Pay and Display during the day. We very much enjoyed our stay in this heritage pub……
