“We stayed here as a couple but also as part of a larger family group, including my niece and nephew (12 and 8 respectively). Our room was the Illingworth room. It was huge, facing out across the road to the lovely old church. Road noise was minimal and the bed extremely comfy with good pillows which were not too soft, perfect for us. We slept well. En suite was well laid out and tastefully decorated. A few hangers were on a rail for our clothes and a hairdryer, iron and ironing board were also……

“A comfortable hotel, set to a high standard (and very welcoming to dogs). Good bar and separate restaurant serving a wide range of food and drink. Clearly popular with locals too. Highly recommended. Only sight issue for us was flight of stairs was a little difficult for our older dog.”
