“The 4 pm check in and 10 am check out is brutal. And the cleaning person was outside waiting for us to leave by 9:40 am when I loaded our car with our bags. That made us feel super rushed to leave. ”

“This cottage is sweet, and the owners vibe is caring and casual. There is a loft that is not available and the cleanliness is hit or miss, but it was fully stocked and comfortable. The common areas are wonderful just like the photos show. Appliances are aged but everything worked. Though it’s right off the highway it is quiet and sleeping was great; the queen is very comfortable. The view of the ocean is truly amazing and the general location is outstanding for proximity to beaches and the sea……

“When you combine a truly lovely property with exceptionally responsive and kind hosts, you can't help but have a lovely stay. That was our experience at the DogWood cottage. The cottage sits in an idyllic setting, and the cottage did not lack for anything. The owners clearly had put a great deal of thought into everything a guest would need (even our four-legged guests). We LOVED our stay and cannot wait to return!”

“Tadpole cottage was a sweet destination to chill in the countryside for a few days. Although the weather was hot and there is no air conditioning, the place stayed nice and cool at night and was easy to sleep. The ducks were so cute and personable we had a great hang. Town is close enough if you forget anything and there are plenty of great wineries on the road. Would certainly come back if I find myself in the neighborhood.”

“We planned to stay 10 days, there wasn’t a table to sit at or chairs if you wanted to eat meals. We appreciate some kind of household instruction for watching t.v., using the air conditioning unit or operating the locks when exiting. This would be a good place to stay if you didn’t plan on any time in the unit. Also a good wind came up and the shredded patio umbrella collapsed. We left early.”

“My husband and I came to the area to attend a local musical weekend at Le Vin winery. Could not have been at a more convenient place to stay. It was a very very hot weekend and a little hard to keep the house cool but Annette who is the on-site property manager can’t be beat for responsiveness and support throughout our stay. She came by with an extra AC unit, installed it and made certain that we had everything we needed. That extra AC unit made the difference. Because we had so many fans and……

“Lovely setting, but there were issues. Something was falling from the ceiling onto the bedroom with the queen bed. The back bathroom was not clean, windowsills not clean, mold on the shower curtain. Old dog poop was on the deck. Leaves were on the floor in the hallway when we arrived.”

“We love Sea Ranch and this place was as wonderful as the setting. The check-in process was very easy (a lockbox at the door vs having to drive to the office in Gualala as some other houses require). The deck faces the meadow and hills in the back, which is lovely, and there is a small side deck with a peek of the ocean. The home is clean, warm, light, and cozy with all the amenities of home. I would highly recommend it!”
