“The house is lovely, great location and situation. The shore just below the house is rocky and charming, but requires caution descending to it (in the winter anyway). Sunrise over the south end of Monroe Island is just gorgeous. Views from every room. The kitchen is great, and the most generously supplied with cookware and dishes that I've ever seen in a rental. Super.”

“Although it is an older house and the room configuration is odd, the flexibility for our group of 10 adults and four children under the age of 5 was great! The neighborhood is more longterm residents, so it didn't have a touristy feel. We were able to watch fishing boats coming and going from the cabin and we were close enough to the water to make several daily trips on foot. Within a mile, there is a wonderful "has everything" market and a seafood restaurant. It would be hard to find a better……

“We usually rent right near our relatives closer to Newcastle, but there was a problem with heat in property so we needed a new rental to move into and “Otterly getaway” was willing to rent to us the day before they technically were available which was good for us. The kitchen of the getaway is just perfect for cooking side dishes for our large family Thanksgiving that was just about 20 minutes a way. We slept in the king bed and it was excellent sleeping.
