“We had an excellent vacation in this spacious house with a beautiful view. It was so quiet and relaxing. Loved sleeping in the “nature bedroom” overlooking the river. We enjoyed visting Alex Bay and local wineries as well as just hanging out at the house. ”

“This was right on the lake with a dock. There is a wonderful, comfy porch overlooking the pretty lake where you can read and relax! Fishing is a must!! Good and fun. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed for a relaxing vacation as advertised. There is a campfire setup which was a nice way to wind down. The caretakers and the owner were responsive and very nice people!! We boated Black Lake and the St. Lawrence. Thousand Island was half an hour from there-spent time in Alexandria Bay!!……

“We loved the camp and Kelly was a very attentive and gracious host! The stereo and vinyl record collection was a big hit with our music enthusiasts and you can’t beat the view from the large screened porch! What a perfect place to have a quiet cup of coffee and admire the humming birds before the crew woke up! Our vacation felt complete especially because we could bring our dogs. They even left a supply of assorted bug repellents which were much appreciated! The kitchen was very small but well……

“Responsiveness from Owner was horrible. Sent email weeks in advance with no response until day before. Stayed opening day of season for camp. Not enough utensils or pots and pans to make a meal. If only looking for very rustic fish camp with roof overhead, then this is place for you. Family vacation is it not. Found a frying pan full of oil and spatula in oven from over winter as we were first to stay this season. I have been going to this camp for over 40 years minus a few since COVID. I would……

“We arrived late due to 4 accidents in 401 west, DVP and 401 East. The website says check in after 4 pm, but the owner said that it is at 4 pm and as such she had to pay the money we paid her to the property manager to wait for us. there was no paper in the washroom which was very dirty. the rooms, dishes, appliances were all dirty. there was no gas for BBQ and no oven tray to cook the food we brought. the owner kept on blaming us for being late and that she did not make money out of our stay.……

“The listing did not include much detail, looking back it should've been a warning sign. It's a beat up property that is part of a trailer park type of "resort" as they pompously put it on their signs at the location. Expect to be disappointed if you do book it.”

“We stayed for 3 nights and it was nice to be by the water but the cabin was very poorly maintained. Screen was hanging out of the door. There was very little in the way of cutlery (2 forks only). Trees need trimming so that renters can see the water. Nice to canoe the lake and watch the diving birds in the evenings.”
