“This Ryokan is so lovely. Upon checking in they served me tea and waffles in my room and then left snacks in addition to the free tea and ramen in the hallway. The room was extremely clean and it was so nice to put on the yukata they provided and sit on the cool tatami floor at the end of the day blow drying my hair. The futon bed was also very comfortable. I will definitely stay here again if I return to kyoto. ”
“I highly recommend this hotel. Prime location with just 3 minutes walk to the Hokan-ji, 8 minutes to Kodaiji and Kiyomizu. Service was superb. Staff were very friendly and they really tried their best to make you feel like home. Haven’t experienced this level of great hospitality in a long while. The hotel itself is also like a beautiful artpiece with contemporary interior while reserving the heritage and history (it’s converted from a school). 10/10 hands down”
“A great place for our Kyōto stay. With a Family of 4, it was the most spacious accomodation of our 2 weeks Japan trip. Right in the heart of Gion. Plenty of restaurants nearby, washer/dryer. I highly recommend!”
“Excellent stay here! Specially the service from two gentlemen at front desk, they were being helpful and tried to book cab for us (finding cab is headache in Kyoto!), Also they were able to speak English! The hotel is clean generally, you get a free little complimentary snack box daily if you chose no house keeping service during your stay. Very convenient location from hotel to Gion Shijo where u get all the shopping & food and also easy to walk to Kiyomizu-Dera temple (10 mins walk)! Lovely……
"Everything is excellent. The room was nice and clean. I was impressed by the common area outside the bathing area on B1 where people could take a break and enjoy free drinks and snacks. The staff were friendly and helpful. "
