“Very accommodating staffs, gave us a very warm welcome. Our room was at the end in the second floor, was nice and quiet. Room nicely heated, get some insects in the room if windows are opened(even in winter), but not a big problem at all. Overall a very lovely hotel with nice dinner and breakfast. Beautiful town to visit! ”
“We had a wonderful stay at the Lakes. It’s such a beautiful setting with so many activities on offer including a spa. We ate in the restaurant and it really is an experience- the food and service were outstanding. Bedrooms are beautiful - decor and furnishings. Guest services were very helpful both prior to arrival and on the day. We we definitely be back! ”

“Great hotel...thought it was pretty cool that it's the oldest inn in England. We had dinner at the hotel one night and food and service was very good. Breakfast also delicious and made to order!! The location is very convenient to shopping and other restaurants. There is not hotel parking available, but paid parking is nearby. Our room was on the second floor and no lift in the hotel. A staff member carried our bags up the stairs for us. Everyone was very pleasant.”
“Staff and bed fine but the rooms need updating.The middle window has some issues and the bath plug doesn’t work properly.For the price being charged it’s around £50 to much in my opinion but once again the staff are fantastic.”
