“We really enjoyed our quick stay at The Orchid Retreat in Agra, India! I was surprised how close we were staying to the Taj Mahal, as we were able to walk there to get in line & buy tickets in advance online. The staff were so timely, friendly, & helpful with Taj arrangements and information. The rooms were well maintained and cleaned nicely. The food was very nice. It’s a family run facility, as I really enjoyed that and liked supporting a family business. When in Agra in the future, we will be……

“This Hotel has been CLOSED since 2021. Yet last week I was able to reserve a room and pay for it on Expedia. Also when we got to Agra we had to find a new hotel at the last minute because it is closed. Where did my money go?”

“We paid at high price and I think the hotel is over pricing their room in the peak tourist season. All staff we met are very friendly, room is cleaned and we were upgraded to a two room suite with a private pool. Yet, the pool water was not clean and the room was old. Foods are generally good to be fair. We had chicken biriani and the chicken was not cooked, the chef came to apology and provide us a special ice cream with seasonal fruit. it was a good surprise to us. There are so many stairs……
