“The property was "as advertised" but really the beauty of this space couldn't be captured by the photos. It had modern amenities but felt like you were stepping into the past at the same time. The covered but open porch overlooking the Illinois River was also more stunning than the photos could reflect. We used it as a retreat with a small group of pastors (8 of us) and it was well loved by everyone. Highly recommended! Beware: there's only one bedroom on the main floor and the rest of the……

“This place was perfectly represented! Our three small dogs loved the fenced in yard. Plenty of room and everything you need-just like home. Visited Matthiessen State Park which was only a few minutes away. The host responded within minutes- hope to be back soon!!”

“We had 7 close friends staying together and it worked well. Guest guide was thorough and house well stocked with supplies-even those we expected to provide for ourselves.Large dining table worked for meals if we brought a folding chair in from patio for an extra seat.
