“The property was "as advertised" but really the beauty of this space couldn't be captured by the photos. It had modern amenities but felt like you were stepping into the past at the same time. The covered but open porch overlooking the Illinois River was also more stunning than the photos could reflect. “This place was perfectly represented! Our three small dogs loved the fenced in yard. Plenty of room and everything you need-just like home. Visited Matthiessen State Park which was only a few minutes away. The host responded within minutes- hope to be back soon!!”

“We had 7 close friends staying together and it worked well. Guest guide was thorough and house well stocked with supplies-even those we expected to provide for ourselves.Large dining table worked for meals if we brought a folding chair in from patio for an extra seat. Only issue was lingering pet dander that impacted our most sensitive guests when hanging out in room with couches. couches.danderwedid”

“Quick trip to Illinois for fall break. My family loved the house. We all had rooms on separate floors and with teenagers they loved it! The area was really nice. Enjoyed some hiking at nearby Starved Rock State Park and Matthiessen State Park. Also drove in to Chicago quick for a Bulls game. ”
