“La Chiusa was magnificent. Gorgeously restored historical property nestled in their own olive grove, caring attentive staff, and a young chef creating absolutely delicious new takes on traditional Tuscan classics. We walked around the grounds, did some stargazing, and enjoyed the personal attention and the cooking class. 12/10, 3 thumbs up, 6 stars. Can't recommend it highly enough. We cannot wait to go back.”
“It's hard to imagine you can call staying at a property with the nightly rates that are being charged here as good value, but amazingly it is.
This is by far the best property I have ever had the joy of staying at, the attention to detail is second to none. All of the staff are amazing and make the stay feel like you're part of a family, you can spend all day just wandering around the grounds there are so many little details to find and the pool is to die for.
The nightly dinners are some of……
“We were very impressed by our stay at the Poggio Paradise Resort. On arrival we were greeted personally by Paolo who upgraded us to the best room in the resort, helped us with the luggage and gave us a tour of the whole property. The Poggio feels like a private villa in the middle of Tuscany, the views at breakfast on the manicured lawns are to die for and the breakfast itself was delicious! We would love to come back one day! ”
“This is the first night we stayed in Toscana. The hotel is a real castle located on the top of the hill. The beautiful landscape of agricultural view seen from the hotel was panoramic and breathtaking. The family suite was cozy, containing one living room and two bedrooms. The thermal swimming pool was fantastic and spa center was amazing. Breakfast was flourish. The dinner was also good but overpriced actually. As a whole, I highly recommend staying in Catello di Velona as you visit Toscana.”
“This was our favorite accommodation during our long trip in Italy. The breakfast was amazing, and it was such a shame we didn’t have enough time to enjoy it properly due to our schedule. The kind staff even packed us some coffee and water for the road, which was so thoughtful and touching.
The hotel is part of a stunning winery, and we regret not booking the Mastrojanni winery tour—we had other tours lined up, but if you stay here, definitely join their afternoon or next-morning tour. They make……
“The location is stunning, the building/room are well renovated, and the service was impeccable. They catered to gluten-free for breakfast, and the caprese salad we had one evening was delicious. We appreciated the use of local produce. Thank you for our stay, we wished it was longer!”
“We had a wonderful stay at Villa Le Prata. The staff is always friendly and helpful, the villa is beautiful, the beds are comfortable and the food and wine is amazing. Will definitely recommend and hopefully be back one day. ”
“We had a great time for two nights at this beautiful property with really friendly staff. The spacious apartment and the nature around the property as well as the proximity to Montalcino were perfect for a relaxing time. The little winery was excellent and the wine tasted really good. We would definitely recommend this accommodation!”
“Amazing personnel always taking great care of you, the place is 20 min. Drive from Montalcino, has well maintained pool, breakfast very good, laundry available and restaurant in site. Self-parking area.
Great location if you want to disconnect and enjoy breathtaking views of the Tuscany area.”
“Good hotel. If you drive to there based on Google Map, you better follow the main road instead of a muddy road recommend by Google. The hotel is near the old town (so as ZTL!) and just a 5 minutes walk. Montalcino old town get a lot of places to taste wine. Don't miss it!”
"Hotel is along the road, very convenient to find parking and the address. The rooms are a bit old, but the view is stunning with a panorama of the entire Tuscan countryside. The hotel offers dinner, but if you’re willing to drive for 10 mins there is some delicious, great value dining options in town. "
