“I had down research before booking my trip and was disappointed that lodging in Bar Harbor was booked up so I had to look further out. I’m so glad it turned out how it did! This was so much better. Bar Harbor was crowded and touristy and a little kitschy. This cottage was located in a quiet location where you can sit on your porch and listen to the birds and tree rustling and look out at the stars. It was a nice haven from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor. We enjoyed playing ping pong and……

“We loved our stay at Harbor Hideway! The space perfectly accommodated our needs and the store across the road kept us well fed. Highlights of the cabin were definitely the screened in porch, extra blankets, and kitchen table with its tuck away bench! We appreciated the proximity to both Acadia and Bar Harbor and enjoyed our time in both places! We hope to return in the future and stay longer so as to make better use of all the cabin had to offer…especially the egg slicer! ;)”

The thoughtful touches such as the games, travel coffee mugs and well stocked fire pit and activity closet make this rental stand out against all the others. The whole property was spotless and beautiful. Conveniently located to the park and some excellent lobster rolls. I cannot say enough good things. We very much enjoyed our stay, only wishing it was longer.”

“Very cozy and clean cabin in a great location that is close to everything you plan on seeing in Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The cabin and property was very thoughtfully planned out, from a guest book and information binder in the cabin, to a fire pit and stargazing area for the residents. There was also a convenient washer dryer in the cabin, and a great screened in porch to enjoy mosquito free! The kitchen was well equipped for enjoying eating in. Penny was great at communicating……

“Amazing spot, close to everything. Cabin was spotless and felt brand new, like we were the first guests. Having the washer/dryer was a huge bonus. Spent three nights with our family of four (two adult kids, 20 and 22 yo), and it was perfect.Highly recommend it.”
