“If you love nature, quiet and are fit enough to climb stairs to a loft to sleep, this is a wonderful place to settle in while exploring Ithaca and surrounds. I came to the region specifically to take carpentry classes at Hammerstone (which were fantastic) and we wanted a quiet homebase to rest, relax and really get a feel for the area. The cabin is well built, pretty amazing, and heats up beautifully (it was April, still chilly - had one snowfall!). Wifi was perfect, showers hot, bed comfy. We……

“The cabin was absolutely perfect! The hosts are very thoughtful, providing coffee, cups, towels and bedding along with other amenities to make you feel at home! Loved the seclusion but also close enough to activities in the area. I would highly recommended this place! I will definitely stay here again when in this area!enough”

“The yurt was exactly as advertised. We enjoyed the wood burning stove almost every night, played lots of puzzles and games, and enjoyed sightseeing in the area. We would have enjoyed getting to know the sheep and chickens a little (we were visited regularly by two handsome black kitties), but alas we couldn't find a time. Next time!”

“This property was a perfect place to relax and enjoy the scenic beauty of Watkins Glen. The cabin was in an excellent location, close to town for dining and shopping, we enjoyed our stay , everything is provided for you and is spacious and clean. We will most likely come back when weather allows for more seasonal activities like hiking, camping and boating. Access to trails was very limited due to icy conditions but the frozen waterfalls provided some beautiful photos , looking forward to……

“Grouse Haven near Keuka Lake was the perfect cabin in the woods experience I was hoping for! A quiet "away from it all" location, but 15 minutes to "town" if you need! The cabin was exceptionally clean and the owner had it nice and toasty and the fireplace going when I arrived. The listing photos are very accurate - looked exactly as I expected base on the photos, from the cabin and rooms, to the property. Everything is provided: cookware, utensils, bath and bed linens - it was super easy for me……

“Loved the place and the remoteness. The water pump wasn't working, but a solution was promptly provided. It wasn't the best situation, but it worked. Also, the second bed appeared to be a mattress pad behind the main bed. We ended up just sharing the bed for the duration of the stay. Would return, but would love those issues/inaccuracies to be fixed.”
