“Absolutely beautiful hotel. Spotlessly clean and lovely grounds. We had dinner at the restaurant where service was exceptional and food was great. Breakfast lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful. We informed the hotel it was our wedding anniversary and they provided sweet treats in the room which was really thoughtful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel. ”

“Total gem and worth going a bit off the beaten path. Wonderfully renovated and welcoming spaces. On a cool night there were small fires in the fireplaces in the lobby and in the restaurant. The dinner at the restaurant was the best of our trip, and the included breakfast in the morning was also fabulous. Walkable little town with several historical points of interest, a Friday morning farmers market, and lots of locals at Joyces pub and bakery. We wished we had booked for more than one night. ”

“The Brooklodge is a beautiful hotel and the grounds are immaculate and lovely to walk around. It is a lovely old style building with a separate building called "brookhall" that has rooms and a geothermal pool. There is an amazing restaurant called the Strawberry tree restaurant, a great leisure centre. Overall, i think it is a little gem and off the beaten track but it is a must see. There is also a lovely quaint looking church beside a river stream-ideal for weddings. ”

“We had an unforgettable stay at Kilkea Castle! From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the stunning grounds and historic charm of the property. We stayed in Carriage Room 230, which was beautiful and had great viewst thanks to windows on all sides. “Quick and easy check-in. Staff were very attentive and helpful. We were given an upgraded room along with a beautiful fruit and chocolate brownie plater because it was a birthday get away - so very much appreciated 😊 Room was beautiful, spacious, clean with a beautiful view of the golf course and Vale of Avoca. Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of choice and had a wide window of timings, so if you fancied a longer lay in, it wasnt a problem. We had dinner in the Bistro restaurant both……
