“Large cabin, very clean and well stocked. Secluded location and privacy was just what we were looking for. Loved the screened in porch, fire pit, decor, and comfort of the property. We requested the kayaks and some of us enjoyed a quiet ride down the creek. Bathtub faucet dripped persistently and the cabin loft area was stuffy. “Beautiful lakefront property and a great place to stay. The hosts are just the best. Super friendly and so accommodating . It felt like we were staying at a lake house with family. The lake water was comfortable and vibe is very chill. It exceeded our expectations. If you want to rent a boat you can rent from Moosejaw Resort. The owners there are super friendly as well. Just reserve well in advance to get the dates/ boat type you want.”

“This house lives up to its rating and description! We rent lake houses every year and this was the best so far. The lake and outside is amazing and well kept. We also rented the pontoon and it was fabulous and easy. Perfect for a family with kids. Adults stayed in upstairs bedroom and our three kids basically enjoyed their own apartment downstairs with so many fun activities for them. “We had other family, 10 total, staying at another property on Fence Lake, and we could not have picked a better place for me and my wife to stay than The Fence Lake Retreat. It was very cozy and had all of the amenities we needed. I’m sure the tv was nice, but we never even turned it on…too busy enjoying the lake and all of the surroundings. “This property was great. We’ve stayed at many rustic places and it was very clean and a great location! It’s a unique cabin but the welcome book came with history about the cabin which was neat.The lake is gorgeous and quiet. We cruised the lake on a rented pontoon (B&B delivered to our dock), fished, and swam. Fire pit was nice. Booked a pedal & paddle experience nearby in Manitowish through Rivers Edge and it was memorable. Saw an eagle both on the kayak paddle as well as on Echo Lake boating.……
