“Our best stay in South Africa by far.
We stayed for 6 days. So sad to leave.
Sandy looked after us and nothing was too much trouble.
Our spacious room opened onto a terrace overlooking a beautiful pool and garden area.
A great breakfast. Staff were excellent always smiling, in a great leafy quiet residential area and only a 5 minute walk to many shops and restaurants.
We will be back when we return to South Africa ”
“We had a lovely couple of nights stay. It’s a great location for visiting Umhlanga, everyone was lovely and the accommodation was extremely comfortable with a lovely lounge at the top of the property, with a great view of the sea. Highly recommend and will stay again when next visiting”
“We especially liked the friendliness of the staff,the wonderful quiet garden and the breakfast.
Unluckily our whirlpool did not work and we missed a brush to clean the toilet.
But these 2 little mistakes do not bother our great experience with u Shaka manor.”
“The ever splendid Oyster Box. Personal and attentive service in a stunning setting. Uniquely charming. Fabulous service at every turn from the lovely first aiders to the friendly and professional pool staff, to the polite and charming front desk staff . But as ever the icing on this fabulous cake were George and his team and Leon in The Grill. Faultless and friendly service , enthusiastic shared knowledge from a great sommelier and head of house and lovely music from maestro Leon. The monkeys……

“The Flamingo Lodge was great! Just a few minutes walk to Umhlanga Rocks beach and the famous Whale Bone pier. Surprisingly, it is really close to the Umhlanga action and restaurants, but peaceful inside. The Staff was great, they were quick to do anything that needed doing and had access or instructions for the various activities in the area. They even helped out with the 2 year. I will certainly stay again!”
