“The property was exactly as advertised - cozy, historic, two bedroom home only minutes from downtown Mobile. Perfect spot to access a variety of activities in the greater Mobile area and walkable to restaurants on Dauphin Street. Well stocked kitchen was used often during our 6 night stay. The whole check-in/communication process was seamless. I would definitely stay there again when in the area. ”

“Thanks for the great stay at the Shadows. Everything you need is provided. Close to everything in the area. Good safe side walks to explore the neighborhood. I would suggest some sort of handle in the bath tub area for safety. A decorative handle could work. It does not need to be intrusive to the decorative theme. The bed in the room closest to the living room was most comfortable for us. We tried both of course. And the first room is more quiet as you can’t hear the ac compressor……

Beyond the fact that it was beautifully decorated, The host was so very nice and accommodating for anything we requested or any questions we had. The HUGE open concept kitchen was fully stocked with any cookware or serveware item you could think of, it was a perfect place to gather with our visiting family and friends. We had 2 kids under 4 years old and there was so much room for everyone that it felt so comfortable and spacious.……

“Quiet home, enjoyed watching the golfers. House is a cooks dream with anything that you could think of to cook with . Was a busy street to maneuver in and out of due to high traffic volume. No fault of host. Host very responsive to any questions ”

“We came down for dance convention. The house was good, but we had some concerns with the back bedroom and the side door. The back bedroom floor was cracked and gave in one spot when you walked on it. It felt very unstable. We did not allow any of our girls to stay in this room for fear of it braking and them falling through. We also had some concerns with the side door as the doorknob was very loose, to the point we were afraid it would fall off.”

“We had an absolutely fantastic time at the Retro Retreat! Our team was in town for a tennis tournament, and this charming home was the perfect base for our weekend getaway. The spacious rooms comfortably accommodated all eleven of us, allowing everyone to relax and enjoy their stay. One of the highlights was definitely the hot tub, which quickly became a cherished morning routine. Soaking in it while sipping coffee was a delightful way to start each day. The retro decor added a unique charm……

“House was great, location was great. The only issue is the driveway. The road to the house is not paved and has extremely large holes/ruts. If it’s muddy, you could get stuck. That is the only drawback, otherwise the property is great!”
