“If you’re looking for peace & quiet, with the gorgeous Tygart River within 30 yards… this is the place for you! Host addresses minor issues quickly & efficiently & is super friendly! Grandchildren enjoyed the bunk beds & riding their scooters on road & bridge (very little traffic) … no cell phone signal but was nice to unplug & we could text with Starlink wi-fi! We truly had a marvelous time in spite of lots of rain. ”

“Unplugging from regular life for a week was great, nephew (age 7) went through withdrawl from the internet though. So many places to go hiking we were busy all the time. Going to town for groceries wasn't bad! The river was a bit cool for swimming, but was a grand adventure regardless. Definitely recommend!”

“We arrived at night to the cabin, trust the google map directions as clicked from the website. The key was in the lockbox as instructed and we were able to settle in nicely. When we woke up we were surprised to find an enormous green pasture behind the cabin with the river just behind the pasture. It was so beautiful! We enjoyed playing in the river, fishing, and chasing our dog. Mealtime in the screened-in porch was lovely. This week was a wonderful spring break getaway for our family in mid-……

I felt right at home and it was an amazing place to rest after a long work week. I would highly recommend and would stay again. ”

“We are six senior kayakers who enjoyed three nights in this spacious, modern house on the Buckhannon River. This is a great choice if you are looking for a beautiful river view, listening to several species of birds, and don't mind the remote location. Not sure when the train runs, but we didn't hear it.”

“This property has well water and doesn’t get used often so when you use the water hot or cold it smells line rotten eggs the whole time water is being used The water was clean but had a strong odor of iron and rotten eggs. We was there 2 nights and it never got better. It was 90 degree on the Saturday we was there and the owner said we wouldn’t need the ac because the nights were still getting down to 40 so she said to leave it on heat 50 but boy that was a terrible mistake when the weather……

“we had our wedding on the property and stayed the weekend. it was absolutely beautiful! the house is so spacious and beautiful, the property manager is absolutely wonderful and responds very fast to any messages you send!”

“Cute little house close to Elkins and literally across the road from the Monogohala National Forest. Went specifically to take the New Tygart Flyer. Food at the “Smoke on the Water “ is highly recommend. ”
