“Great hotel. Had a nice upgrade. The room had a comfy bed and was very clean. There was an ac unit in the bedroom which helped cool the room down. The only thing was the shower pressure was very low and cut out a couple of times. ”
“Very nice property with friendly staff. Location is a short walk to town where there are lots of bars, restaurants and shops.
The majority of the rooms are in the building across the parking lot from the hotel restaurant and river. Partial view river views look across the parking lot and are quite limited but pleasant. ”

“We Usually stay in hotels, but decided to stay in a guest house this time. Got to say we were really impressed with Chester house. It was very clean and tidy, the bed was very comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, (in both here and their sister property, Chester court hotel, next door), and the included breakfasts were excellent.
In addition, it was great to have ample free parking on site
The location is also very convenient for Chester city centre and also to nearby Hoole village,……
“Quiet hotel. Soundproofed. Central for everything. All attractions nearby - city walls - a quick and interesting way to get to cathedral and historic centre. Spoilt for choice for restaurants. All staff lovely - reception, breakfast and cleaning staff friendly. Beds excellent. Shower hot. Good value. Couldn't fault it. I'd say negative reviews have been unlucky.”

The booking was easy but the owner of this cottage was excellent in communication and instructions ( Gaynor ) there isn’t enough I could say and we had the privilege of meeting her when she did midweek check on jacuzzi.
