“My wife and I stayed for our anniversary weekend. The property is great. It is small, but it suited us well for our purposes. The view of the small lake and mountainside was wonderful. We woke up one morning to the snow-covered ground and the moon reflecting off the frozen lake—it was beautiful. The property manager was very responsive when we had an issue with there being too much chlorine in the hot tub—they had the issue fixed the same day I raised the issue with them. When we checked……

“Hickory House is the perfect place for our multigenerational family/friends group to reconnect and enjoy some snow fun. The house is great, with extra kitchen space and a perfect table for meals or game nights. The hot tub is a relaxing treat after a day of skiing. Kudos to the plow team who kept the roads to the house well groomed! We had a great stay!”

“Cons: With service fees etc, cost over $1000 per night between Christmas and New Years. Driveway is very long and downhill to the house. Kitchen drawers and some cabinets were extremely overfilled and cluttered. Downstairs bathroom was clean but smelled bad, emanated to whole downstairs. Things like carpet, kitchen pans, some light fixtures were worn / wonky. Pros Hand, dish, and laundry soap included; paper towels, toilet paper too. Plenty of extra towels available. Fireplace was nice and……

With a well-stocked kitchen, roomy living area and bedrooms, fireplace and wood stove, and fun indoor pool/poker table/skee ball available, the house suited the chilly mornings and evenings in mid-March. The location allowed us to explore interesting places/restaurants in Davis, Thomas, Blackwater Falls area, and Timberline Mt. We found Yeti’s Den the perfect central spot for family members from three states to meet and make new memories!”
