“Our stay at Lakefront Manor was a mix of beauty and frustration. The home is spacious, beautifully decorated, with stunning lakefront views and solid amenities. However, several maintenance and communication issues impacted our experience. At check-in, the window sills, back patio, and dock was dirty, with spiderwebs and green moss everywhere. Inside, we reported immediately small water stains in a master bath wall and broken 3D glasses in the theater room, but there was no resolution other than……

“The house was the perfect size for our group. Definitely on a quiet cove. Only problem was not enough silverware for 6 to 8 people. The cabin was clean when we arrived.”

“We stayed at The Cottage on our trip from Ohio to Hilton Head. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. It was exceptionally clean and perfect for our group of 7. We were able to enjoy The Toucan Lounge restaurant just 10 minutes away on Lake Norman. Highly recommend this rental. Communication with the owner was great.”

“Very clean, friendly staff. One complaint would be only having two towels in the room. We had to ask for two more towels so my husband I had enough to last the next two days. Small thing I know, but overall o would stay there again. ”

“Overall experience was great. The house was comfortable and easy. Everything worked as it should. Location close to downtown food options and interstate and major highway. Some cleanliness issues (cobwebs, used floss picker on a side table, and evidence of mice in oven drawer). Pots and pans were provided however it wasn’t a complete set - more so random pieces. Just some notes:* Parking is tight! Hard to fit 2 vehicles. * Neighbor has dogs in the front yard which wasn’t mentioned. Just a note……

“Second stay. This one was for four nights. Bathroom sink drain got stuck. No room cleaning at all for four days, which seems a little odd. If the owners would make a little effort in enhancing the guest experience, this place would get 5 stars from me. Front desk staff needs some customer service 101 training.”

“Stayed there this past the weekend. Visiting family in the area for the first time. Can’t say enough about the staff. Amazing service! Courteous, attentive, ridiculously friendly, just an over the top team in general. The only blemish of our stay was an overnight spree of car break-ins in which we fell victims to. 8 total car broken into Sunday morning. Just wish the hotel could do more to prevent/detract these things from happening. Provide a bit more assurance to paying customers in terms……
