“Maria, the owner, communicated so well after we chose Annina’s House in the heart of Varenna. She & her husband met us at the train station to drive us to a nearby piazza where we walked down to the apartment. Inside was just like the photos, clean & perfectly appointed. We lacked for nothing. Linens were excellent. We could walk everywhere around the small, beautiful town and it’s easy access to the ferry dock to visit other lakeside towns.
